Plenary and Semi-Plenary Sessions
Some of the plenary and semi-plenary sessions will focus on cutting-edge
research in sociology, and others on the relationship between sociology
and its neighbouring disciplines. There will also be special semi-plenary
sessions to commemorate three sociologists who defined and extended the
frontiers of the discipline: Pierre Bourdieu, James Coleman, and Robert
Merton.
