Past IIS World Congresses

The IIS has held regular international meetings since its inception. In the beginning these meetings were annual, drawing people from all around the world. During both World Wars meetings were more sporadic and due to travel restrictions were almost solely attended by Europeans. In recent years, congresses have been held every 2 years, with some exceptions.
