SCAS Fellow Ann-Charlotte Gavel Adams has been Elected Member of the Royal Swedish
Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities
Current SCAS Fellow Ann-Charlotte (Lotta) Gavel Adams was recently elected 'Swedish Corresponding
Member' of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities. Gavel Adams is Professor
of Scandinavian Studies and Barbro Osher Endowed Professor of Swedish Studies at the University of
Washington in Seattle. Her current
project is part of a collaborative examination and evaluation of the
general principles
behind the National
Edition of Strindberg’s Collected Works, which she is working on
together with Gunnel
Engwall, Stockholm
University, and Elena
Balzamo, Paris. Gavel Adams is in
residence at the Collegium
during the academic year 2014-15.
