Björn Wittrock to be a Member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Forum Transregionale
Studien for Three More Years

Recently, Björn Wittrock was reelected as member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Berlin-based
Forum Transregionale Studien for another three-year term.

The Forum Transregionale Studien, founded in 2009, works to promote the internationalization of research
in the social sciences and the humanities. In collaboration with universities and research institutions across
Germany, the Forum carries out research projects and initiatives that systematically and with new questions
examine different regions of the world and their relationship to Germany and Europe. It enables collaboration
between researchers with different regional and disciplinary perspectives and appoints researchers from all
over the globe as Fellows.

The Academic Advisory Board advises the Forum’s Board of Directors on all academic issues, such as thematic
foci and new research programmes, applications for funding and appointment of Fellows.

The Academic Advisory Board, whose members are elected by the Forum’s Members’ Assembly, consists of
scholars of international renown from Germany and abroad. Björn Wittrock is one of currently ten members
of the advisory board.
