Sofia Lodén Appointed Docent in French

SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow Sofia Lodén has been appointed Associate Professor of French
(Docent) at Stockholm University.

Lodén was admitted to the Pro Futura programme in 2017 and was in residence at the Collegium
in the academic year 2018-19.

As a Pro Futura Fellow, Lodén works on the project “The Europeanization of Culture in the Middle Ages:
Moving Borders and Landscapes in Arthurian Romance,” in which she explores the natural world of the
Arthurian romance and what it can tell us about borders in medieval Europe. She considers the romance
in a pan-European perspective and take into account texts written in several different vernaculars.
