Pro Futura Scientia Fellow Lisa Hellman Elected Member of the Young Academy of Sweden
Lisa Hellman, who was admitted to the SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Programme in 2020, has been elected
Member
of the Young Academy of Sweden. Hellman is one of eight scholars who
were presented as
new
members
of the
Academy yesterday.
Lisa Hellman is Researcher in History at Lund University and Research Leader at the Bonn Center for
Dependency and Slavery Studies, Universität Bonn.
She joins co-Pro Futura Fellows Sofia Lodén and
Aryo Makko as a member of the Academy.
The Young Academy of Sweden is an independent, interdisciplinary forum for the most
promising
young researchers in Sweden. Its operations rest on four pillars: internationalization,
outreach, science
policy, and transdisciplinarity. The criteria for election are scientific excellence
and a proven interest
and engagement in the Academy’s areas of interest. The Academy was
founded in 2011 on the initiative
of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
