SCAS Welcomes Fellows and Kicks Off the Semester

Three Fellows and the Principal at the podium, ready for their 3 minute research presentations

Yesterday, SCAS officially launched the semester with an engaging and dynamic round of Fellow presentations! All Fellows—new and returning—took the stage to share a glimpse of their research within the strict three-minute limit.

This exciting tradition highlights the breadth of interdisciplinary work at SCAS, fosters connections, and sets the tone for an inspiring academic semester ahead.

A warm welcome to our new Fellows:

Oana B. Albu (SCAS-Nordic Fellow, Copenhagen Business School): Exploring how Digital Platforms Shape Climate Activism
Mark Bassin (Fellow, Södertörn University and Uppsala University): Tracing the Intellectual History of Russian Eurasianism
Mehmet Somel (Human Past Senior Fellow, Middle East Technical University): Investigating Anatolia's Cultural and Genetic Transformations in the 2nd Millennium CE

We look forward to a semester filled with thought-provoking discussions and collaborative research!
