Nataliia Khanyk

Associate Professor, Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Ukraine

In her SCAS project, Nataliia Khanyk will evaluate the accessibility of non-emergent healthcare for war refugees from Ukraine in European countries, with a primary focus on Sweden. Her research explores how displaced individuals—especially those living with chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and cancer—navigate healthcare systems in host countries.

Using data from international web-based surveys, she examines key barriers to care, including administrative obstacles, language challenges, and limited awareness of available services.

Nataliia Khanyk will spend the spring semester of 2026 at the Collegium as a SCAS–VUIAS Fellow.
