The sessions have taken place over the course of two academic years. Each session has lasted for one full day, with some work between sessions expected from the participants. SALP faculty has consisted of senior academic leaders, including a number of Swedish university vice-chancellors and international research leaders. Participants have been given the opportunity to discuss topics such as strategic planning, change processes, ethics, communicative competencies and conflict resolution, often focusing on the role of the individual leader in these processes. In addition to these sessions, workshops for the whole Pro Futura Scientia community on themes such as academic collegiality and academic freedom have been part of the SALP programme.

The following Pro Futura Scientia Fellows have participated in the SALP programme: Arthur Asseraf (University of Cambridge), Wally Cirafesi (Lund University), Yaffa Epstein (Uppsala University), Lisa Hellman (Lund University), David Karlander (Uppsala University), Iva Lučić (Stockholm University), Jennifer Mack (KTH), Sari Nauman (University of Gothenburg), Janina Neufeld (Karolinska Institutet), Ester Oras (University of Tartu) and Julia Velkova (Linköping University).
