Today, we are welcoming a new cohort of Fellows as the academic year 2025-26 begins. As always the Fellows represent a broad range of disciplines and universities/organizations in many different countries, which contributes to the unique environment that is an institute for advanced study.

The regular Fellow seminar series will start on Tuesday, 23 September, with a talk by our new Non-resident Long-term Fellow Professor Naoko Shimazu on “Visualising Diplomacy in Cold War Asia". This will be followed by a talk by Professor Johan Elverskog, who will be "Rethinking Mongol History" a week later, on the 30th of September.

Also the remaining events programme for the autumn promises an exciting variety of topics, providing a sample of the diverse range of research projects taking place within the SCAS Community. The seminars are open to the public.
