Kieron Barclay has been promoted to Professor of Sociology at the Department of Sociology, Stockholm University.

Barclay is a former SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow. He was in residence at the Collegium in the academic year 2020-21.

Dan Diner has been awarded the Ludwig Börne Prize 2025 External link, opens in new window. by the Ludwig Börne Stiftung.

Dan Diner is Professor Emeritus of Modern History, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Former Director, Simon Dubnow Institute for Jewish History and Culture, University of Leipzig. He was a Fellow in residence at SCAS in the academic year 2014-15 and the autumn semester of 2015.

At a ceremony on 19 October, Karl Schlögel will receive the 2025 Peace Prize of the German Book Trade External link, opens in new window. (Friedenspreis des Deutschen Buchhandels).

Schlögel is Professor Emeritus of Eastern European History, European University Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder). He was a Fellow in residence at SCAS in the academic year 2006-07.

Jane Shaw has been appointed as Provost of Gresham College External link, opens in new window. and will take office in December 2025.

Shaw is Professor of the History of Religion, University of Oxford, and a Fellow in residence at SCAS in the autumn semester of 2025.

Sverker Sörlin has been awarded the prize Årets väckarklocka External link, opens in new window. (Alarm Clock of the Year) by the Elin Wägner Society.

Sörlin is Non-resident Long-term Fellow for Programmes on Environmental Humanities, SCAS, and Professor of Environmental History, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He was in residence in the academic year 2022-23.
