At the recent annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association (AAA), Sahana Ghosh was awarded the 2025 Michelle Z. Rosaldo Book Prize by the Association for Feminist Anthropology for her book A Thousand Tiny Cuts: Mobility and Security across the Bangladesh-India Borderlands. Sahana Ghosh is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the National University of Singapore. She is a Fellow at SCAS in the autumn of 2025.


Olle Risberg and Sigrid Schottenius Cullhed argue for a Nobel Prize in the Humanities in an essay ("understreckare") External link, opens in new window. in Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet today.
Olle Risberg is a SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow and Docent/Researcher at the Department of Philosophy at Uppsala University. SCAS Fellow Sigrid Schottenius Cullhed is Docent/Associate Professor of Comparative Literature at Uppsala University. Both Risberg and Schottenius Cullhed are currently in residence at the Collegium.

Emrah Yildiz's book Zainab's Traffic: Moving Saints, Selves, and Others across Borders External link, opens in new window. (University of California Press, 2024) has received the 2025 Clifford Geertz Prize from the Society for the Anthropology of Religion, and an honorable mention for the 2025 Middle East Section Book Award — both of the American Anthropological Association (AAA).
Emrah Yildiz is Associate Professor of Anthropology and MENA Studies at Northwestern University. He was a Global Horizons Junior Fellow at SCAS in the academic year 2024-25.
