Johanna Annala has been appointed Research Professor at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä. External link, opens in new window. This is a permanent full professor position.

Annala held an Erik Allardt Fellowship at SCAS in the academic year 2020-21.

Gustaf Arrhenius and Bo Rothstein and their colleagues have been awarded a grant from Mistra for an interdisciplinary research programme titled "Mistra CLEAN - A Research Programme on Capture, Corruption, and Crime in Environmental Governance" External link, opens in new window.. The programme has been allocated a maximum of SEK 40 million over four years and will be hosted by the Institute for Futures Studies in Stockholm.

Gustaf Arrhenius is Professor of Practical Philosophy and Director of the Institute for Futures Studies. He is a former SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow and was in residence on four occasions between the spring of 2007 and the autumn of 2014.

Bo Rothstein is Senior Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg. He was a SCAS Fellow in the autumn of 1991.

Kateryna Bondar (PI) has received funding from the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies for the three-year project "School and Education in Times of War: Online and Shelter Teaching in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine". External link, opens in new window. The grant totals SEK 6,000,000.

Kateryna Bondar is Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University. She was a SCAS-VUIAS Fellow in residence at the Collegium in the academic year 2024-25.
