The Academic Senate Gathers at the Collegium

On Wednesday 20 May, the Academic Senate of SCAS will gather at the Collegium for a full day meeting. The Academic Senate, whose members represent various disciplines and institutions around the world, ensures scholarly excellence and a global outlook across all of the Collegium’s programmes, and provides advice on institutional matters. It serves to guarantee the highest scholarly standards and a sustained global commitment in all SCAS activities.
For one of its sessions, the Senate will be joined by the Non-resident Long-term Fellows of SCAS. They will also enjoy the opportunity to meet with the current Fellows-in-residence during a dinner event in the evening.
This meeting is the first to be held since Professor Ash Amin took office as Chair in January 2026 and also the first gathering for the five new members appointed during the past months, namely Professors Behera, Lalu, Lamont, Rowe and Sörlin.
