International Relocations and Scholarly Transitions in Focus at the Pro Futura Gathering

The SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellows have gathered at the Collegium for a two-day meeting, discussing international relocations and scholarly transitions.
Today, Thursday, Johan Lindquist (Professor of Social Anthropology, Stockholm University) and former SCAS Fellow Valbona Muzaka (Professor of Economic History, Uppsala University) meet the fellows for a session on “Relocating Knowledge – International Experiences of Transitions”. Tomorrow, Friday, the group will be joined by two former Pro Futura Fellows, Fredrik Charpentier Ljungqvist (PF XIII, Professor of History, Stockholm University) and Virginia Langum (PF VIII, Professor of English Literature, Umeå University), who will team up with current PF Fellow David Karlander (PF XVII, Associate Senior Lecturer in Nordic Languages, Uppsala University) for a discussion on “Pro Futura and the IAS – at Home and Abroad”.
The topic of transitions ties in with that of the SCAS 40th Jubilee Symposium held in September 2025.
