Bruce G. Carruthers Joins the Board of Directors of the Social Science Research Council

Carruthers is John D. MacArthur Professor of Sociology at Northwestern University and has been a Non-resident Long-term Fellow for Programmes on Global Governance at SCAS since 2019.
As a SCAS Long-term Fellow he plays an active role in the strategic development of the academic programming, serves on the selection committee for many of the Collegium's fellowship programmes, and acts as a mentor for early-career scholars in the Pro Futura Scientia programme, among other things.
He will be in residence at SCAS during the first week of the upcoming autumn semester, and among other things he will discuss research, teaching and leadership with the Pro Futura Scientia Fellows.
