The Collegium Hosts Daniel Lee as Holder of the Visiting Researcher Grant in Research into the Holocaust, Victims of the Holocaust and Antisemitism

Commencing his time in residence yesterday on 1 September 2026, Daniel Lee will be at the Collegium for one year as a fellow and holder of the 2025 Visiting Researcher Grant in research into the Holocaust, victims of the Holocaust and antisemitism, External link.funded by the Swedish Research Council.
As a SCAS Fellow, Lee will be working on his third monograph, The Roundup: Marseille, January 1943, which moves attention away from the perpetrators and back to the victims of the roundup of Jews in France. As the holder of the Swedish Research Council’s Visiting Researcher Grant, he will work with various Swedish research institutions to implement workshops, seminars, public history events and mentoring opportunities for junior colleagues in Holocaust Studies.
Daniel Lee is Reader in Modern History at Queen Mary University of London. He was a Fellow in residence at SCAS in the academic year 2024-25.
