SYMPOSIUM -
Climate Policy in a Turbulent World: Complementary Perspectives

Date

By invitation only.

Global efforts to address climate change require renegotiating societal foundations, particularly political economies. While climate change poses risks for businesses, it also offers opportunities for those able to adapt and innovate, potentially enabling a more active role in global governance.Inspired by Polanyi, this moment of rapid transformation draws our attention to corporate influence in climate governance and its impact on democracy.

This symposium explores climate policy, highlighting the role of a range of actors and their influence on the relationship between public and private spheres. Specifically, the symposium addresses matters related to democracy, corporate involvement, and citizenship in the context of climate change, examining also how the crisis may spark opportunities.
