Associate Professor, Practical Psychology Department, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University

Kateryna Bondar’s research project “Citizenship Activities of Young in Post-Invasion Ukraine – A
Comprehensive Study” (CAP-U) focuses on understanding the involvement of young Ukrainians in
citizenship activities following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Specifically,
the aim to evaluate their participation in traditional and digital citizenship endeavors, as well as how
their perceptions of Ukraine's democratic status during the conflict correlate with their engagement
in citizenship activities. To achieve this, Dr Bondar will replicate a previous study with a similar
sample and context, while also conducting qualitative analyses, including focus-group discussions.
Grounded theory methodology will guide the construction of a model of digital citizenship engagement
amidst wartime conditions. This research contributes by establishing criteria to assess post-invasion
digital-citizenship activities among young individuals.
