The Johan Peter Falck Fellowship Programme

About the Programme and the Eligibility Criteria
Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ; Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences) and the Swedish
Collegium for Advanced Study (SCAS) have initiated a residential fellowship programme, the Johan Peter
Falck Fellowship Programme, open to scholars from Poland and Russia.

Candidates may come from any discipline within the humanities and social sciences and neighbouring
scholarly fields. At the time of application, the candidates must have held their PhD for at least seven years,
and have spent at least four years after the PhD at a university or research institute in Poland or Russia.
Applicants should have an excellent track record of achievements, including significant publications (as
main author) in international peer-reviewed journals or in edited volumes with leading university presses.

Scholars may apply for a full academic year or one semester.

Fellows receive a monthly stipend or salary, the size of which will be decided after consultation with the
fellow and a consideration of relevant circumstances. Costs for housing and lunches are also covered.

Application and Deadline
Applications are reviewed by the Collegium once a year. In conjunction with this review, applications may
be sent to external referees. Final decisions are taken by the Principal of the Collegium in consultation with
Permanent and Long-term Fellows. This means that all applications (including personal data) will be down-
loaded by Long-term Fellows, and may also be sent to external referees, outside of the EU/EEA.
