Christina Garsten Inaugurated as Professor at Uppsala University

Last Friday, SCAS Principal Christina Garsten was among the new professors who were inaugurated
at Uppsala University at a ceremony held in the Grand Auditorium of the University Main Building.
Garsten was inaugurated as Professor of Social Anthropology at Uppsala University’s Faculty of Arts.
Her inaugural lecture was held on the theme Globala eliters toppmöten. Vad gör man egentligen i Davos?

Christina Garsten took office as Principal of the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study in 2018. She is
also Professor of Social Anthropology at Stockholm University.
